This study guide synthesizes the experience of Russian and Western entrepreneurship as applied to the operations of Russian corporate industrial entities. It examines the fundamentals of corporate governance theory, including the theory of corporate strategy, strategic priorities, and resources. The latest trends in the development of corporate organizational structures are analyzed. The content and structure of corporate programs and projects are generalized. A classification of corporations is presented based on market-activity principles and corporate strategies. Models for optimizing capital structure are investigated using the Modigliani–Miller theorem and its subsequent modifications as illustrative cases.
